Complex password reset issue

This question involves 5 domain controllers. Three are Windows Server 2003 and two are Windows Server 2008. The main primary machine is a 2003 server. Workstations all run on Windows XP.

Passwords are set to expire every 90 days. When user passwords are due, users get an error message when they reset their passwords. They get the same error message saying that the domain is not available or password length should be 6 characters long and at least a day old. The admin has to reset each user's password before they can log in. This is quite troublesome. Can anyone tell me where to get the password policies for each workstation and resolve this problem?

Try this command at the workstation.

gpresult>group.txt

You should see what password policy is preset for a particular computer. Then setup the subnet on site and services on that workstation to authenticate to that particular Windows 2003 server.
