SOA enables companies to be more nimble and agile, have quicker access to business information and save money over traditional IT implementations. New applications are easier and cheaper to create, since they make use of existing applications that are combined differently. Access to information is more convenient, since it can be accessed through a variety of ways, including the Web, mobile devices and rich client.
