At this moment, we're facing the modernization of the core application in our company. This app is developed in Oracle Forms and we would like to update it to new technologies, using the intenet application's characteristics. The layers that we are analizing are: Presentation Layer: JSF
Bussiness Layer: EJB 3.0 / Spring Persistence Layer: Eclipse Link / Hibernate Database Layer: Oracle

Our company isn't friend of open-source tools; for that one topic in the decision is the support and maturity of the technologies. Another point, is that our Application server will be WebLogic or Websphere Application Server, then, it's necesary that the development frameworks are very compatible with these servers.

Anyone could give me a help about this decision? Thanks a lot!

1 answer:

hello, you can consider VAADIN gui framework - full RIA, simplier development if your business apps have complex gui. spring and hibernate are ok.
