How can you restore a VHD Windows image file?

I had a computer and a western digital drive that I used to create a backup file. I now do not have the computer or the drive, but I need to get some of the files off of the back up. Is there any way to access the files on the back up?

You can use a shareware tool to access the information such as WinImage or you can mount the VHD file as a drive by using the vhdmount utility from Virtual Server 2005 R2 Service Pack 1.
