Connecting a NAS device to network

I have a Sonicwall NSA 240 firewall, an ISP modem, a Linksys WAP 2000 access point. I want to connect a network access storage (NAS) for backup, share, and store device for all users. Where is the best place to put this NAS?

Connect it behind the firewall, where your other host servers are. The computers don't have to go through the router if you do that. After you have connected the NAS, map it to a drive. You can also connect it to the same switch in your WAP.

For remote access, use maybe IPSEC/VPN on the firewall and create the necessary rules for access.
